This continuation of the story of the Sneyd family and their private space firm is a very enjoyable read. I quite liked the Kuiper Zone exploration elements, how they put together a naval task force of multiple nations, how the Mars colony develops and the problems in Mr. Sneyd's marriage due to him being 'essential' to running the confrontation with the Flicker ETs. The Flickers turned out to be quite interesting, but the bad guy aliens the Fel are even more intriguing. This would be a 4.5 to 5 star rating except for the frequent typos and missing words and dropped quote marks, or quote marks in the middle of interior voice. It happened often enough that it was a bother. That said, Knapp is an outstanding action-adventure writer and I have enjoyed reading every title in his 'build a spaceship in your garage' series that began with The Ship. The story keeps your attention, once you start you can't stop. A nice ending over all, but many loose ends. It's time for Chuck and Lina's kids to take over. What happens next? What happens on earth. And the Chinese and Russians, what happens with them? This may be Mr Knapp's last NFI book but there are enough loose ends for someone to continue this story'
Well all the minutia is still there, but the story and characters develop and grow well enough.
Everyone loves a hero who makes it, but when you keep fighting what life throws at you and win
Then you have proven your record is deserved.
I don't like fairytale princess stories, and this is not one,

The hero and heroine go thru rough times, but straight of spirit prevails.
I think you'll like this installment.
The story line is too slow and its not until the last few chapters that the action really begins.
It just keeps getting better.
Great read and a great romp. Worth the price or even double the price!
Seems like Chuck and Lina are nearly complete. How will Terrans use the technology they have captured? Will man take the long leap to the stars? Enjoyed this series from the start.
I really have to hand it to this author. His eye for the science is way beyond the normal. I am an avid science fiction fan, have been for more years than I can remember. I love the epics by the greats - Arthur C. Clarke, Heinlein, Asimov, Ringo and now Chris Nutall. Jack L. Knapp is, I think, about to join them. His science is believable, his characters real, his plots intriguing. Great reads. Well done, sir!
